Quiet on here, busy everywhere else: an end-of-summer update

If you've noticed the gap between posts, that's the reason. I've had my head down.

Man balancing lots of items on his body metaphor for busy.

Where the summer went

A website for Saluura (a new place-based wellness appraisal framework). A space design project for Equal Experts. And tender writing plus a new website for Everything Asbestos Environmental, a licensed asbestos removal specialist who deserved a site that took them as seriously as they take the work.

Different sectors, different problems to solve. That's the bit I like about fractional work. It's the best of both worlds: enough regular projects to keep momentum, enough variety to stay excited. Clients get someone genuinely engaged with their brief, backed by years of experience, rather than someone phoning it in. More on all three over the next few weeks.

The September rush

This month matters more than people give it credit for. Budgets get reviewed, Q4 plans get made, and the businesses that get moving now tend to finish the year ahead rather than scrambling in November.

If your marketing has gone quiet over the summer too, you're not alone. But September's your window to get ahead of everyone else, so it's worth asking:

  • Does your website reflect what your business does today, or what it did a year ago?

  • Do you have a Q4 plan, or are you still deciding week to week?

  • What's been sitting in the "we'll get to it after summer" pile since May?

None of this needs a full rebrand or a 40-page strategy document. Usually it's just an honest conversation and a clear list of priorities.

If any of that sounds familiar, get in touch.
